Bonnie Formia is a 7 year resident of Agua Dulce and is married to a 21 year law enforcement veteran. Bonnie was a competitive gymnast for 11 years before retiring at 16 due to injuries. Bonnie was a gym rat for many years utilizing the usual weights and treadmill / Stairmaster and also kick boxing, and kept fit at 115 pounds.

After getting married in 2000, she gained 40 pounds due to her career as a Realtor in Los Angeles, and then became pregnant with Jordan, her daughter in 2002. Bonnie gained another 50 and had her daughter weighing in at 205 lbs. Wearing her maternity clothing for 6 months after Jordan was born, she was not comfortable riding or doing much else. Bonnie had lost 50 pounds after having Jordan, but needed to lose a lot more. Through sheer determination, she lost another 40 pounds over the course of 5 months by walking and doing Pilates by herself. Her husband liked the weight loss so much, she found herself pregnant once again when Jordan was not quite a year. In 9 months, Bonnie gained back ALL the weight she worked so hard to lose.

Losing the weight after John Jr. was born was even tougher because Bonnie swears that mom fat is twice as concentrated! Fitting back into clothes, being comfortable, and riding her horses was very stressful, not to mention feeling good and being intimate with her husband.  Bonnie was re-introduced to Pilates, and added yoga and low impact cardio to her workouts. 30 lbs melted off and Bonnie has never looked back.

Taking classes instead of the treadmill and weights at the gym was a huge inspiration because the hard part was just getting to the door of the class. Once there, Bonnie just "went with the program", and before she knew it, an hour was over and she felt like she had really worked all the parts of her body. The sweat poured, and it was WORK, but it was different. Energized, relaxed, and exhilarated, she was hooked. Bonnie then realized that there were no classes in Acton or Agua Dulce, and traveling to Santa Clarita 5 days a week became such a waste of time, not to mention the cost of gas.

After training to teach Pilates and being close to obtaining her Personal Trainer Certification, she has decided to create a studio at her home in Agua Dulce so women here in Agua Dulce and Acton and surrounding areas can obtain their optimal fitness goals in an intimate atmosphere. Utilizing the latest techniques, the classes have been created to achieve the fastest, safest results, which can normally be seen after only a few classes. (Diet and classes combined.)
